Pilates as a complement to everyday life

Some people might be wondering ‘Is Pilates alone enough exercise for me?’

If that was all that you wanted to do then absolutely. But the true benefit of Pilates comes as a complementary activity to everything else that you do. It helps you to build a strong base from which to move. It is like the foundations of your home. If the foundations are not strong you will experience structural damage in years to come. This may not present itself straight away but over the years you will start to see cracks appear and you will have to spend a lot of money to repair or undo the mistake which if you had invested a little more time and money at the start would not have occurred.

Pilates is a way to undo years of bad movement patterns but it is a way to strengthen the foundations again. The sooner you start the sooner you will see improvements. And the younger you start the less likely you are to see these ‘cracks’ appear.

So no matter what age you are the right time to start is right now.

Anyone can benefit from Pilates. You don’t have to worry that you aren’t fit enough, or flexible enough. That is what we are aiming to change for you.

It should be a complement to everything you do whether that is simply your day-to-day activities or whether you are a competitive athlete. It is like a holiday for the body. So much of our daily lives put stress on the body. Pilates is a way to give the body a reset, incorporating Pilates into your workout routine helps keep your muscles loose and flexible, important for staying injury-free, and allows your body to recuperate while still working your muscles.
