Why did I become an Exercise Physiologist?

I’ve always been involved in sport, from high-level competitive soccer to recreational surfing and strength training, and I am passionate about helping people improve their health and performance through exercise, particularly athletes, older adults, and individuals looking to return to sport.

After spending many years working in fitness, sport, and education, Exercise Physiology felt like a natural progression, allowing me to further develop my career and combine my passion for training and rehabilitation with evidence-based healthcare. I enjoy helping people overcome injuries, manage chronic conditions, improve their performance, and maintain their health, function, and independence.

About Me

Originally from Brazil, I have been living in Australia for over 15 years and have developed my career across both countries. I have worked in the health, fitness, sport, and education sectors for more than 15 years and have also had the opportunity to support young athletes on the international stage as the Exercise Physiologist for the Australian Under-13 Futsal Team.

Outside the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter, travelling, watching and playing football, surfing, creating educational content, and continuing to learn about exercise, health, and performance.
