What Does an Accredited Practising Dietitian & Nutritionist Do?

An Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) is a qualified health professional who provides evidence-based nutrition and dietary advice. They use their expertise to help people improve their health, support recovery, optimise athletic performance, and build sustainable eating habits through personalised nutrition.

In Australia, dietitians complete a four-year Bachelor's degree that includes supervised clinical training in medical nutrition therapy, clinical nutrition, and food service management.

With so much conflicting nutrition information and fad diets in the media, it can be difficult to know what advice to trust. A dietitian helps you understand how your body works, how nutrition supports your health, and how to make informed food choices that suit your individual needs.

At POGO, our dietitians work with you to create a personalised nutrition plan tailored to your lifestyle, health goals, sporting demands, and long-term wellbeing.
