Julian TubmanPhysiotherapist (APAM)

Why did you become a physio?

My passion for sport and exercise started at a young age, trying my hand at every sporting opportunity. Unfortunately, my love of the outdoors and sporting pursuits came with a plethora of injuries. From high speed water-skiing stacks to road bike crashes, traumatic ankle sprains and debilitating muscle tears- my local physio got to know me all too well.

I settled on becoming a physio in grade 10 after sustaining a nasty knee injury that required surgery and a stint of post-operative rehab. I was fascinated by the body’s ability to heal and the treatments I received during my rehab journey. It was an exciting prospect to pursue a career dedicated to helping others bounce back from injury and achieve goals previously thought impossible.
