Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy
- Diploma in Remedial Massage
Why Physio:
Sport has always been a big part of my life, which naturally led to a strong interest in health, fitness, anatomy, and movement. As a teenager, I underwent hip surgery and spent an extended period in rehabilitation with my local physiotherapist (and now mentor); an experience that first sparked my interest in the profession. I found myself genuinely engaged in the recovery process and fascinated by the body’s ability to adapt and heal.
Alongside this, my own experiences as an athlete, including navigating injuries over the years, have given me a deeper understanding of both the physical and mental challenges that come with being sidelined. These experiences have shaped my passion for physiotherapy and reinforced my drive to help others recover, return to what they love, and perform at their best. I thrive when working alongside people as they build towards and achieve their goals.
About Me:
I’m a small-town girl from rural NSW, having grown up in Yass. Over the past seven years, I’ve run my own remedial massage therapy business, which naturally flowed into my pursuit of a career in physiotherapy. During that time, I’ve been fortunate to work with a diverse range of clients, from avid gardeners to elite athletes, and everyone in between. After graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Canberra, I made the move to the Gold Coast, where I’m now part of the POGO team.
Passions/Interests:
Personal: When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me on the footy field or in the gym. I love being outdoors, I’m a biggggg foodie, and I love cooking, so I’m always keen for new restaurant recommendations.
Professional:
As a rugby league athlete, I have a strong interest in collision sports, particularly return-to-contact rehabilitation from knee and shoulder injuries and gym-based strength and conditioning.
