Women’s Health Physiotherapist
Why did you become a physiotherapist?
I have always loved helping people and encouraging an active lifestyle. I have participated in Pilates since I was 16 years old and it is the absolute highlight of my day teaching Pilates reformer classes. I have a passion for helping women, because women often put themselves last on the list, so when they come in for physiotherapy you know it is serious! I love empowering women to feel fit, strong, and like themselves again without pain holding them back.
Background: Emily is born and bred from the Gold Coast. You may recognize her as one of the friendly administration team as she worked on the font desk throughout four years of her study. Emily is the practice’s longest serving team member who has seen the practice grow from its infancy through to being a local leading physiotherapy practice. After completing school at Emmanuel College (2008), Emily went on to graduate from the Bachelor of Exercise Science course at Griffith University in 2011 and completed her Master of Physiotherapy degree in 2013.
Passion: Emily has a passion for women’s health and loves treating all women from pregnancy to post-natal and beyond. Emily enjoys rehabilitating injuries using clinical Pilates – whether it is lower back pain, ankle pain or something else, you will get a rewarding workout to help rehabilitate your injury.
What is Emily’s favourite muesli bar? CARMENS – Especially the dark chocolate ones!
