In episode 244 of The Physical Performance Show Brad Beer shares a conversation with Dr Nicky Keay for part two of an exploration around all things hormone health and performance on this expert edition.

Dr Nicky Keay is a sports and dance endocrinologist with 20 years of extensive clinical and research experience in working with professional ballet dancers and elite athletes.  At the time of recording Dr Nicky Keay is consulting for both Scottish Ballet and also Manchester United whilst also consulting privately and serving as the Chief Medical Officer for Fourth Edge on Hormone Profiling.

Nicky is currently working to monitor female athlete menstruation cycles through athlete management systems to reduce female athletes injury risk. She’s a published author of numerous scientific articles, provides regular reviews for the British Journal of Sports Medicine, and is a go to expert when it comes to the risks of energy deficiency in sports and the female athlete. Her published medical research includes the effects of training and nutrition on the endocrine system and body composition along with bone mineral density. Nicky is an Honorary Fellow of the Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences at Durham University, a member of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Medicine in the National Institute of Dance, Medicine and Science.
