New Year’s Resolutions Part 3

In this last blog on New Year’s Resolutions I’m going to explore an idea to help make them more attainable and that is by altering your thinking. Don’t try to change, try to be better.

What are the things that you can do to make you better? A better Dad, a better Mum, a better child, a better partner,  a better employee, a better boss, whatever it may be  what do you need to do to achieve that? If you make it greater than yourself you are more likely to achieve it because you are doing it for others.

Since my area of expertise is in the health and fitness industry I am going to look at it from that point of view.

If your goal is to lose weight, why do you want to lose the weight? Rather than making it appearance think of it in terms of how it will make you better. If you are a parent, it will make you a better parent because you are setting a good example to your children, you will have more energy to get out and enjoy life with them, you won’t be held back by the restrictions of not being able to exercise, you will start to experience life as it is meant to be, you will be happier in your job because you are suddenly more productive, you will sleep better because you are moving more, which will make you less irritable and so a better partner. This list is not exhaustive, the knock on effects and benefits are more than I can fit on this page.

If you would like any more information or advice from Peter he is more than willing to help you in his capacity as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Coach.
