How to Test for Running Hip Strength

Here is a great video on how to test for running hip strength using a leg squat test.

Transcript

Here we have Peter demonstrating the single leg squat test. So Peter is simply coming up and down on one leg in a single leg squat position, we are taking note of the angle of the pelvis, we are taking note on what degree of hip collapsing or internal rotation there may be.  We are taking note of what degree of knee dropping is happening, and with this data you can record it in the running screening in the appendix in the back of the book. Single leg squat test.
